STAY STRONG NATION HELPS VETS FIGHT POST-TRAUMTIC STRESS

New Organization Educates, Advocates and Offers Clear Path to Better Days

MAUI, HAWAII – (December 15, 2010) — While statistics show roughly eight percent of all Americans have some form of Post Traumatic Stress, that number balloons to 30 percent for veterans and active service personnel. Stay Strong Nation, a non-profit organization working to help veterans and service personnel cope with Post-Traumatic Stress/Traumatic Brain Injury (PTS/TBI), recently formed to provide assistance for veterans.

Stay Strong Nation is a community of volunteers who have embarked on a nationwide tour to educate and raise awareness of PTS/TBI. Comprised of veterans who themselves have battled PTS/TBI, the organization produced educational literature and an inspirational CD/prayer, and is currently working on collecting postcards from Americans looking to send warm wishes to service personnel in Afghanistan. Americans can download the CD/prayer and fill out postcards by visiting StayStrongNation.org.

"There is often an unfortunate stigma associated with veterans, or anyone for that matter diagnosed with PTS/TBI, as being insane or mentally challenged," said Gresford Lewishall, Vice President of the Stay Strong Nation. "Making matters worse, many of the treatments have failed because they're heavy on prescription medications that fail to treat the root of the problem and also cause unwanted side effects."

The organization's mission is to first educate the general public about PTS/TBI and its effects on veterans, their loved ones and friends. Stay Strong Nation is also focused on providing successful treatment by raising funds to construct a $20 million facility in Maui that will serve as a therapy-based, life-changing program designed to help veterans peacefully co-exist with PTS/TBI.

Stay Strong Nation is also planning a comprehensive study under the direction of professional medical experts on the effects of ProArgi9-Plus, a promising new treatment that is cardiovascular-based without side effects like prescription medications. In early tests ProArgi9-Plus was 90 percent effective in helping a group of veterans with PTS/TBI successfully end their other prescription treatments.
